Jo-Anne Founder of The Brazilian Hut, Waxing Specialist Joanne has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years and her skills and knowledge of the industry and especially waxing have led to the success of The Brazilian Hut. Being a specialists in waxing is essential when it comes to providing great services and Jo’s nickname ‘the machine’ is for good reason! After years in the industry Jo-Anne has a focus on client’s needs and wants and providing the highest standard of customer service by providing fast and efficient services in a friendly and comfortable environment which is evident in all our salons.

Opening a salon was a lifelong dream for Jo-Anne Maree and by taking the steps and following her dreams she was finally able to so. Due to the expansion of beauty Colleges and courses throughout Australia many people saw the beauty industry as an easy option for a career, leaving many ‘beauty therapists’ unqualified and inexperienced working in the industry. Jo saw a gap in the market for a professional waxing salon that actually specialised in what they do.

Waxing is a service that needs to be perfected, especially The Brazilian Wax. During the decades Jo has worked in the industry she has seen many disasters from waxing and slowly learnt what customers really want and need, which she has applied to The Brazilian Hut. By taking things she has learnt over the years Jo has developed a unique system for fast and proficient waxing. No other salon can do anything like it and that is why Jo has become fashionably known for being ‘The Machine’ when it comes to waxing.

In one of her first jobs, a German tourist who could barely speak English came to the salon where Jo worked and asked for it all off. ‘What’s all off’ Jo asked. ‘A Brazilian’ the tourist suggested and proceeded on the bed on all fours. And so Jo began to develop a system that worked best for her clients. And the rest is history!

It was our dream to create a salon that works solely on providing customers and salons with the most experienced waxing specialists that provide service that is fast and efficient. Waxing has become a major necessity in our day to day lives and it has become very hard to find a specialist that has the experience and qualifications to do a quality service this is where The Brazilian Hut comes in, providing waxing specialists for all your needs.

The Brazilian Hut was established in September 2006 in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast QLD. The company was established to provide a salon that specialises in waxing and tanning for men and women. The Brazilian Hut specialises in the signature Brazilian wax for both, men and women as well as all other body waxing, hence the name The ‘Brazilian’ Hut.

By providing fast and efficient service why wouldn’t a client return, knowing that they can receive the best wax and quality service by experienced waxing specialists!'

We are looking for someone who is
• Confident
• Talkative
• Friendly
• Can build a rapport with clients
• Has experience in waxing (minimum 2years)
• Someone who is looking for a career not just a job
• Is confident waxing people of all walks of life, students, men, high profile clients, mature aged etc
• Must be able to work between 8 am - 8pm Monday to Friday and Saturday Mornings.
• May be required to work in both salons (sunshine Coast)
• Preferred experience in waxing males and brazilian waxing.
